Before release X5 SUV variants in 1999, Bayerische Motoren Werke (BMW) just make a sedan. Many public automotive world was surprised when BMW issued a SUV variant. And now this German manufacturer wanted to continue it.
X family has been growing at rapidly, by adding X1 X3 and X6. Even X5 and X6 M version childbirth, and the X3 crossover will soon follow. But that’s not the end of the story the class X. BMW will release a large SUV, X7.
U.S. market demanded a larger luxury SUVs that can compete in the contest with a Cadillac Escalade and the Toyota Sequoia. According Automobilemag.com, X7 is rumored to be competing head to head with Audi Q9.
To ensure customers can get the heart of X5, X7 SUV will come as standard with three rows of seats capable of carrying seven people.
BMW SAV segment (X3, X5, X6) continues to show good sales growth each year until it reaches 43.3 percent to 19,600 in the first four months of 2011. While in 2010 just to touch 13,675 units.
Not the first rumors X7 sticking to the surface. This program reportedly been canceled in 2008, due to bad economic conditions. Now, this model is scheduled to be introduced in 2013.
