November 2, 2011 - Category Toyota
Toyota is studying the succession of the Auris. A prototype of the future average Japanese sedan has indeed been photographed.
Toyota has several years of a development center in Belgium, Zaventem. Toyota and Lexus models are suitable for the mass market and European market. Since last July, the center has a test track 1.4 km long, used to refine the prototypes in terms of comfort, road noise, vibration, brakes, etc..
It is in the center of development that was taken the first pictures of the future Auris. The new compact is still hidden, it should reach the market until late next year. Toyota is currently focused on the launch of the new Yaris. But we already see on these pictures that the new Auris will be greater than the current one.
The new Auris will be divided in hybrid version of course. There are rumors that Toyota is also developing an electric version that is equipped with a gasoline engine booster. A hybrid extended-range, so, like the Chevrolet Volt and Opel Ampera. But Toyota has not officially confirmed about this.
