Personal Information Honda Canada Users Stolen by Hack

Personal information from more than 283 000 customers Honda Canada was stolen during a data breach last week, according to Reuters. The stolen data included names, addresses, vehicle identification numbers, financial account numbers.
Honda Canada has not said that the information was stolen, the type of control for identity theft or fraud, such as birth dates, telephone numbers, e-mails, credit card numbers, account numbers or dollar amounts of funds or payments used.
The information was collected in 2009, while a customer stole e-mail program, Honda and Acura owners encouraged to myHonda myAcura and websites report.
Honda Canada, said the strike was over. Honda was tipped to the suspicious activity on the e-commerce sites in late February and in a letter to the affected customers on 13 May hack, said it was tipped by an unusual degree of activity on the sides and some unauthorized attempts to access user account information.
