Best-Selling Compact Sedans - Which Would You Buy

Motor Trend decided that the time to crown a new king of the tiny four-door masses. The editors of eight of the most popular models in the segment and pitted them against each other, Battle Royale style.

The magazine started by the three best-selling Japanese compact sedans, which accounted for the Toyota Corolla, Honda Civic and Mazda3, which promoted combined for 700,000 sales last year for fear of a weakened economy. These were America’s two best sellers, accompanied the Ford Focus and Chevrolet Cruze. Korea, the Kia Forte and the Hyundai Elantra and the Volkswagen Jetta TDI from Germany rounded out the list.

MT tries to adapt the car as well, the cars were driving in front, four-cylinder automatic with alloy wheels and stability control, all the stickers somewhere in the low range $ 20,000. Nevertheless, despite its efforts, it took a fair amount of variance between each of the cars that helped with the outcome of the test.

At the end of the 2011 Hyundai Elantra was in the lead, the set of standard features and a new found sense of refinement. The 2012 Honda Civic EX brought the next place in line, followed by the 2011 Mazda3 Touring. The 2011 Volkswagen Jetta TDI snagged fourth, of the 2012 Ford Focus Titanium and LTZ 2011 Chevrolet Cruze followed RS. The 2011 Kia Forte EX displaces the 2011 Toyota Corolla to seventh place to take.(autoblog)
