Controlled by the Integrated Chassis Management system that can send more torque to the rear wheels to reduce understeer balance and handling, and yet they keep safe. By individually braking the rear wheels, they can help stabilize and strengthen the handle to handle a variety of difficult, slippery roads.

XDrive models now with Hill Descent Control, which electronically manages to come a preset speed, even on smooth surfaces.

2011 BMW 5-series  latest version of this mid-size sports sedan to bring some of the drivers of quality and classic look of earlier versions. And while the technology gets more can be expected, it is less obtrusive and more integrated.

The new 5-Series xDrive models will begin arriving in U.S. dealerships in October.
